Hi Chap(ette)s,

We’ve recently applied for the digishorts scheme at Screen West Midlands so wish us luck, cross your fingers etc. and hopefully we’ll get shortlisted for funding of up to £10,000.

Our short idea is about a boy who is obsessed with Dr. Who, his worst fear coming true when he comes face to face with (who he thinks is) DAVROS (leader of the Daleks) at a care home where his mother works as a cleaner.

Here is some concept art we sent along with the app.

Hello,

Haven’t posted for a while but have been moving house AGAIN (third time this year) and having a fight with BT to get a phone line sorted. But hey, now I’m back online and chipper as ever.

I’ve been putting the finishing touches to the master of Guillemots live at Cheltenham Jazz festival which is now going to get pressed and sold on their next tour in November. I’m very excited about getting the film out there, it’s a great little thing indeed. Feels like we shot it an age ago.. oh, we did!

I’ve also just completed another corporate film for EIAT Consultancy.. who are always a pleasure to deal with.

Other than that I’m now free as a bird!

I’m really just waiting for Jon to tell me how the London Warp shoot went..

hello, quick Jon update…

last week i did a shoot which involved me hanging out the side of a helicopter chasing lamborghini’s at 120 miles an hour around a racetrack, two days later i filmed a shoot involving lovely naked girls frolicking in the sunshine, being squirted with water and eating ice-cream…

this week i have done 6, 1- hour long interviews with the NHS gateway Leaders where they talk about what they think is good management infrastructure, drove for 4 hours to a shoot in Basingstoke and edited James Nesbit’s smarmy face.

never mind.

Hello,

It’s Stu here. Of course it is. I’m sure Jon will be telling you all about his shoot hanging from a helicopter soon though.

Just got back from the big chill!!

Excellent fun in the campervan, though it did leak a little and we had to get 6 jump starts over the course of the week! We ate a healthy diet of fried breakfast and BBQ, essentially meat cooked in different ways.. and crunchy nut cornflakes (cause you gotta have them for camping).

Jon pussied out of his one night stay in a tent with us because it was raining – and ended up driving home at 3am in the morning! We woke up and he was gone!

While at the Big Chill I did some filming with me old mate Jack for EXCEEDA , a top notch audio visual act who were playing their hour long A/V spectacle PLATFORM X. You can see a vid of platform x here but that isn’t the footage we took.. it’s in the edit and will be cut into a promo soon! Big thanks to Xavier having us aboard.

In other news there are some photos up on the Future Shorts website from the Guillemots gig a couple of weeks ago. Again, these aren’t our photos, the footage is still in the edit, but have a look anyway!

Latitude Guillemots

Well I could stay all day and tell you about other bits and bobs of news, but I’m very tired and have a white chocolate Magnum in the fridge so you’ll have to wait.

Ciao sweethearts.

Why is it that you always get offered the most work when you’re away on holiday!?

No doubt I’ll come back to a barren wastleland.

Anyhow, LATITUDE was fun! Hard work though. I’ll let you know if the film goes up anywhere, we just provided the footage so the edit is in the hands of the Gods.. or rather ‘Nye’ from Future Cinema

For anyone who may of stumbled this way, and not come via the website.. here is our showreel, fresh of the tube:

WET by studrummond

Okay Manchester is wet. I’ve never experienced so much raininess. And I’m from the North East.

I’m mainly writing to tell you that I finally have an offline edit of ‘Dirty Egg’, the short film produced by LCM and written and directed by the very talented Patrick Coyle. It’s incedibly funny (in a dark/ shouldn’t be quite so funny kind of way) but it’s also inredibly long. Next step is to get it to Dickkie, our wonderful editor who will string it together in HD ready for festivals.

I’m hoping we can jump onto a festival with this before the year is out, hopefully screening in Manchester and Birmingham.

I’m off to get waterproofed.

Hello there chaps and chapettes,

Our website is now up and running at www.lcmdigital.com though it is likely that you’ve just come from there so hey…

We’ll be putting more stuff up there over the coming months and keeping you upto date here on debagged.

In other news, I have made the leap to Manchester and it went without a hitch.. I’m now looking at settling in to the culture and lifestyle that the Northern Quarter promotes. I’ve already found a greasy spoon to help me through those Sunday blues.

I went to an interesting talk by Alistair Sim from ‘Love Creative’ the other day.. they’ve got some really interesting bits and bobs on their blog at http://www.lovecreative.com/blog/

I’m working on various bits and bobs at the moment, developing websites for Manchester Young Solicitors and my own venture NQ. I’ll provide more details on both as they happen.

I’m also off to the Latitude festival next weekend to film Guillemots performing around David Lynch’s ‘Eraserhead’. Should be awesome I reckon!

And for fun me and Robs (the ladyfriend) are hiring a campervan and trundling around Wales, finishing at the Big Chill and stopping off for footy and BBQ goodtimes with Jon and the Birmingham gang on the way! Summer has landed.

Love,

Stu

Arrgh,

Bit of a panic at the moment,LCM has work coming out of its ears. Just finished various Front and Design life edits, and already they want more work shooting/editing done. In addition we have established new links with ‘Gas Street Works’ (Big Brummie production house) which is leading to more editing and camera fun. In addition Jon has three shoots next week and still needs to get the website launched!

think we might need some help…

Tomorrow I’m going to film horses being painted. I have no idea what this is so will get back to you when I know more.

On Friday I’m off down to Hampshire to have a nosey round a very famous interior designer’s house. I’ll be filming bits and pieces and then editing it together for her before she sells the place on.

Who says corporate has to be boring?

Jon meanwhile has been putting together another piece for designlife.tv and is putting the finishing touches to the films for next month’s FRONT. This month’s mag features screen grabs from the last film we shot for them.

Also, we’ve just started work on a music promo for Holy Roar Records which is still in the ideas stage, it’s very rawk with some synthy bits, loads to get our teeth into!

Call back soon.

Stu

Had a very difficult and ardous shoot on Monday, Had to travel to the Perch in London for FRONT’s upcoming ’Naked’ issue.

5 models in front of the camera , an ex-model model behind the camera, page 3 girl doing make-up and another model as camera assistant.

It’s a dirty job…
